The biggest compliment I can receive as a New York City family photographer is to have families return to me to have their portraits taken, again! Last year, the Frankels had a gorgeous waterfront family photo session in Long Island City's Gantry Plaza State Park, with the New York City skyline as a backdrop. This year, they returned for another incredible sunset family portrait session, and decided to have the full-on fall leaf frolick fun in Forest Park, Queens.
Jennifer and Jessica, thank you so much for coming back to have portraits of your family done with me this year!! What did you love about last year's, and hoped to capture this year?
We loved how you captured our children's personalities and the love in our family. The photos last year were so gorgeous we want to have them every year so we can document how much our family grows and changes.
Tell me, what is special to you about this time of year? Why get portraits done now?
Fall is our season, we love the colors and love using the pictures as gifts for our families and for a Christmas card!
Oscar and Eloise are getting so big! What is different from last year? What is the same? What little things/gestures/quirks about them do you hope to see in your photographs that will make you smile looking back at these pictures 10 years from now?
We love to see how they interact with each other. We hope to remember how fun loving and adventurous they are!
What does having professional portraits taken mean to you?
I love having such an artistic and beautiful representation of our family to cherish for many years to come!
What do you think is the most wonderful thing about your family, and how do these photographs capture that?
Jessica: The most wonderful thing about our family is how close we are to each other. I hope the photos can capture the love that we have for each other.
Jen: I think our family is fun and spunky and playful and I hope that comes through in our pictures especially with the kids.
